Keeping You Close To Home

Building refuge and community

We Provide:

SAFETY & "HOME" at Day 1

Our Mission

In 2020, over 200,000 California residents have been displaced from their homes due to wildfire.

With typical shelters unable to support this population and struggling to comply with COVID-19 social distancing requirements, our organization was compelled to provide a safe, comfortable option for victims who are affected by their losses and seeking immediate refuge. As a non-profit organization, we fully rely on donors and our community’s support.

When things are falling apart, we're here to help put the pieces together.

When a natural disaster strikes, 80% of the population is unprepared.

Preparing for the worst can easily get forgotten as we live our busy lives. CareLodge was created to support you when you don't know where to go or what to do.

Our Goal

One shelter at a time...

Our organization is in the process of constructing 25 CareLodges in 2021 for California fire relief efforts. We hope to be able to continue our initiatives to extend throughout the United States and support national relief efforts. Our first CareLodge is slated for completion on Thanksgiving 2020!

Safe and Comfortable

Each CareLodge was built to keep comfort and "home" in mind. They ares fully equipped with a restroom, kitchen, and sleeping facilities for up to 5 people.

CareLodges are Tiny Home style shelters that are designed to be easily transported to affected areas. CareLodges can also be privately hosted on Care Host grounds allowing evacuees an opportunity to be in a different, more pleasant surrounding.

Should a disaster strike, the last thing you want to do is be separated from your loved ones, including your pets! CareLodges have designated pet areas so you can rest easy that all your loved ones are close and with you!

We need your help!

Our organization runs fully on donations, sponsors, and volunteers. As the demand for our CareLodges increases, we are hopeful to fund our construction efforts.

Donations allow us to continue purchasing safe, reliable building materials to build CareLodges. Our volunteers generously spend their time building our CareLodges, facilitating the Care Host process, and developing partnerships with local agencies.

Care Hosts needed!

We are seeking Care Hosts to provide space for our CareLodges. Care Hosts must be able to host a Relief Effort family / evacuee. Hosting timeline can be from 1 week, to upwards of several months. Have a space in your property where you could host a CareLodge?
